Xundian Hui & Yi Autonomous County
Food: Guhua Fish(谷花魚)
Characteristic: living in rice fields, unpolluted, fresh and sweet
Location: Yulongwan Restaurant(譽(yù)龍灣餐廳) in Xundian downtown; local farmers’ homes in Qixing Town(七星鎮(zhèn))
Price: around 45 yuan per kilogram
Guhua fish is the fish raised in rice fields. The fish is natural and unpolluted, since it is fed on paddies, mosquito larvae, rice brans and kashas. Its price even reached 80 yuan per kilogram at times.
Tangdian Industrial Park and Jiaozi Mountain Touristic Zone
Foods: pea meal and tofu in Zhuanlong Town(轉(zhuǎn)龍鎮(zhèn))
Characteristics: tender, luscious, all made by condensed spring water
Locations: vegetable market in Zhuanlong Town, grandma Deng(Dengnainai)’s pea meal stand(鄧奶奶涼粉攤) nearby the main building in Zhuanlong Town
Prices: 1.5 yuan for one piece of tofu, 2 yuan for a bowl of pea meal
Fumin County(富民縣)
Foods: walnuts and chestnuts in Chijiu Town(赤鷲鎮(zhèn))
Characteristic: traditionally planted
Location: markets in Chijiu Town
Prices: uncertain
An intensive trading place will be formed in Chijiu Town at the preceding nights of the market days. Trading volumes would reach up to 60 tons every night.
Dongchuan District(東川區(qū))
Foods: potatoes, noodles, buckwheat cakes
Characteristics: potatoes are soft and glutinous, and noodles are chewy and smooth
Location: nearly all markets in Dongchuan District
Price: uncertain
Jinning County(晉寧縣)
Foods: spiced ducks, rotten pig’s knuckles, Grandma Hua(Hualaonai)’s rice noodles(花老奶米線)
Characteristics: the spiced ducks are flaky and savory with thin skin
Locations: Maolin century-old shop for spiced ducks(貓林鹵鴨百年老店), Three Kilograms shop for rotten pig’s knuckles(三公斤粑豬腳), Grandma Hua’s rice noodle restaurant
Prices: 60 to 90 yuan for a pack of spiced ducks, 3 to 4 yuan for a bowl of Grandma Hua’s rice noodle
Yiliang County(宜良縣)
Foods: roast ducks, small sheldrakes, roast ducks made by Li(李烤鴨)
Characteristics: crisp skin and tender meat, fat but not greasy
Locations: Xuecheng Restaurant(學(xué)成飯店) in county downtown, Hongxiang Restaurant(洪祥飯店) in Nanyang Village, Nanyang Town(南羊鎮(zhèn)羊街村)
Price: 20 to 30 yuan for a roast duck
Food: pig’s knuckles rice noodle
Characteristic: the pig’s knuckles used to be stewed for over 10 hours
Location: Lixiangyuan Pig’s Knuckles Rice Noodle Shop(力香園豬腳米線店) -- in the agricultural products market next to the Cultural Square in Yiliang County
Prices: 5 yuan for a small bowl, 8 yuan for a large bowl, 2 yuan in add for more meat

Songming County(嵩明縣)
Foods: ecological vegetables and fruits
Characteristic: ecological
Location: Chennong Agriculture Exhibition Center(晨農(nóng)農(nóng)博園) in Side Street(Xiaojie小街)
The Chennong Agriculture Exhibition Center locates about about 40 minutes’ drive away from Kunming. People can drive via Kunming-Qujing Expressway, and turn right when arrived Xiaojie Toll Station(小街收費(fèi)站) in Songming County to get there.
Luquan Yi& Miao Autonomous County(祿勸彝族苗族自治縣)
Foods: Saba Hams(撒壩火腿), honey
Characteristics: fresh, ecological, nutritive
Prices: 55 to 75 yuan per kilogram for Saba Hams in bulk, 160 yuan for a pack of honey( with four bottles in the pack, 500 grams per bottle)
Anning City(安寧市)
Food: apples in Lubiao Village(祿脿村)
Characteristics: scent, sweet, crisp, early listed
Location: Shanglubiao Village(上祿脿村)--1 kilometers out of the Anfengying Toll Station(安豐營收費(fèi)站) in Kunming- Chuxiong Expressway
Price: 15 yuan per kilogram
People can also pick chestnuts, peppers and pears in Lubiao Village. Chestnuts charge 12 yuan per kilogram, and apples 15 yuan per kilogram. Peppers and pears are totally free to pick.
