The China-Laos Railway will soon be opened in early December.
On November 26, Jerry as a journalist went on board the train to explore the Chinese section of this railway.
Till now, it takes 20 to 30 hours to travel from Kunming, capital city of Yunnan Province to Laos’ capital Vientiane by international coaches.
Yet, when this railway opens, the travel time will be greatly reduced. A trip from Kunming to Xishuangbanna, the southernmost end of Yunnan will only take 3 hours!
As the train moved southwards, Jerry started to feel the incredibly scorching heat. Then he had to take off his clothes one after another.
He had never thought that a few hours on train could make such a big difference regarding temperature!
Jerry also took a chance to chat with an engine driver inside his cab…
