來自斯里蘭卡的烏普爾是斯里蘭卡最大僧伽羅語報(bào)社Lankadeepa的記者，《踏上龍的國土》是他所創(chuàng)作的第一本書。2018年，烏普爾來到中國。近10個(gè)月的時(shí)間里，他訪問了海南、四川、云南、貴州、甘肅、湖北、福建、山西、江蘇、上海、天津等地。
As a journalist, the author spent 10 months in China in 2018 and visited more than 11 provinces such as Hainan, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Gansu, Guandong, Hubei, Fujian, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Tianjin, etc. the experiences of those visits are mentioned in the book.
其間，烏普爾到訪了位于中國西南，被譽(yù)為植物王國、動(dòng)物王國的云南省。他參加了第五屆中國—南亞博覽會(huì)暨第25屆中國昆明進(jìn)出口商品交易會(huì)，來到了氣候宜人的省會(huì)昆明市和玉溪市。昆明被認(rèn)為是中國的花城，這里種植著各種各樣的鮮花。參觀神奇迷人的石林景區(qū)給烏普爾留下了深刻的印象。2007年，石林被聯(lián)合國教科文組織列入“世界自然遺產(chǎn)”名錄；在石林，可以看到各種各樣的巖石，高度從5米到30米不等，還可以聽到動(dòng)人的阿詩瑪?shù)膫髡f……這些美麗的故事，都被他寫進(jìn)了《踏上龍的國土》一書中。
The author had an opportunity to visit Yunnan province called the Kingdom of Flora,and the Kingdom of Fauna, which is located in Southwest China. The purpose of the visit was to attend the China-South Asia Exposition and the 25th China Kunming Import–Export Fair. Kunming the capital of Yunnan and Yuxi cities where the author had gone are cool cities. Kunming can be considered a flower city of China with various flower plantations. I still can remember our visit to Shilin for seeing the limestone forest. It is an amazing place. The stone forest is listed as the UNESCO world heritage in 2007. The author was impressed by this place because of its location. There can be seen various limestone which are height from 5 m to 30m. Also, the author could hear Ashima's love story that derived from this stone forest century ago. Those beautiful stories are mentioned in the book.
烏普爾在書中描述了中國文化自然的多樣性和中國發(fā)展模式。他在書中生動(dòng)介紹了許多中國傳統(tǒng)文化和活動(dòng)，如端午節(jié)、川劇等；還描寫了自己參觀長城、三峽大壩等經(jīng)歷。同時(shí)，還介紹了地鐵、高鐵等中國高速發(fā)展的綜合交通體系。
作為中國的老朋友，斯里蘭卡讀者希望更多地了解中國。這本書的出版將有助于斯里蘭卡讀者更好了解中國文化和中國經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展。
In addition, many cultural events such as Dragon Boat Festival, Sichuan Opera, etc. that seen by the author during his China stay have also been described in the book. Furthermore, the development of the Chinese public transport system including the Subway, High-speed railway has also been described. During his stay in China, the author could visit the Great Wall and the Three Gorges Dam which can be described as two of China's miracles and the information about those places has also been mentioned in the book.In this book, the author attempts to describe the Chinese cultural diversity and development model. The people in Sri Lanka are glad to know more about China as theirs's long-lasting friend. The author believes that this book helps readers see and understand China's beautiful culture and economic development.
